FAQ

How many hours of enjoyment will I get from my Winford candle?

Our candles have a burn time of approximately 60 hours, but with our reusable mugs you can enjoy your Winford candle for years to come. We particularly like ours for coffee and cocktails - send us a picture of how you use yours!

Where are your products made?

All of our products are proudly made in the United States. We choose to work with companies and suppliers that have a proven track record of producing the highest quality products. While we work with companies from around the country, all of our candles are produced and hand poured in Los Angeles, CA.

What is your wax made from?

Winford candles are proudly made with a natural blend of soy, coconut, and beeswax.

How do I clean the wax out of my Winford mug for reuse?

There are a few methods for cleaning your mug, including simply scraping the wax out with a spoon. Our preferred method is to throw your mug in the freezer for an hour or so, and the wax should pop right out with a spoon. Then simply wash out any residue and they are ready to go. Our mugs are also dishwasher and microwave safe!

Why is my candle smoking?

The most common reason for a smoking candle is a wick that's too long. A sure sign is if your wick has a bubbly shape after you burn it. Always trim your wicks to 1/4" to avoid smoking.

Why does my candle have a "tunnel" of wax around the edges?

While Winford candles are designed to melt evenly, a common problem with all candles is called "tunneling,"  when the center flame drops below the level of wax around the edges. Be sure to burn the candle long enough during each burn (especially the first time!)  to make sure the wax melts all the way to edges, and your Winford candle will burn perfectly for its lifespan.
