FAQ

How do I clean the wax out my Winford mug for reuse?

There are a few methods for cleaning your mug, including simply scraping the wax out with a spoon. Our preferred method is to throw your mug in the freezer for an hour or so, and the wax should pop right out with a spoon. Then simply wash out any residue and they are ready to go. Our mugs are also dishwasher and microwave safe!

Why isn't my candle burning well?

A common problem with candles is called "tunneling," where the candle does not melt the wax completely to the edge and the candle eventually stops being able to burn. If burned appropriately, Winford candles are designed to burn evenly. If you notice tunneling, be sure to burn the candle long enough during each burn period to make sure the wax melts all the way to edges.

Why is my candle smoking?

The most common reason for a smoking candle is if the wick is too long. A sure sign of this is your wick has a bubbly shape after you burn it. Always trim your wicks to 1/4" to avoid smoking.
